trabalho.
O estudo mecânico do painel sanduíche híbrido envolveu componentes experimentais, analíticas
o sucesso do projeto EasyFloor. The growing need for light structural elements, with high stiffness and strength by the construction industry, particularly in the sector of rehabilitation, has led to the use of solutions based on composite materials, due to their intrinsic characteristics. Composite sandwich panels are included in this group. The present dissertation was developed in the scope of the "EasyFloor" research project, and its main objective was to contribute to the development of innovative sandwich panels as a structural element for the rehabilitation of existing buildings or for new construction. From this project, two panels were developed: i) a 100% composite panel, produced by pultrusion, with faces and ribs of GFRP (Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer) and a core in polyurethane foam (PUR), and ii) a second hybrid panel, which differs from the first one by the fact that it has a sheet in the upper face of steel-fibre reinforced concrete (FRC). In order to study the behavior of the hybrid sandwich panel, firstly, it was necessary to proceed to mechanical characterization of all materials involved, namely the GFRP, the PUR and the FRC. The latter being the only one characterized within the scope of this work. The study of the hybrid sandwich panel involved experimental, analytical and numerical components. Namely it included short- and long-term bending tests, panel-to-wall connection tests and connection tests between panels. This research work also included numerical studies using finite elements to complement the analysis of the experimental tests carried out. With a duration of 6 months, the long-term bending tests allowed the prediction of the service behaviour of the hybrid panel for 50 years. All the proposed objectives were fulfilled during the development of this work, which has contributed decisively to the success of the EasyFloor project. |
