Resumo(s): | Os Símbolos Táteis são eficazes nas estratégias em que os profissionais viabilizam intervenções que
propiciam o desenvolvimento comunicativo de alunos que não consigam estabelecer uma comunicação
oral, como é o caso dos alunos com Deficiência Múltipla associada a deficiência visual. O presente
estudo teve como finalidade analisar e identificar a utilização dos Símbolos Táteis por professores no
apoio a crianças com Deficiência Múltipla associada à deficiência visual. Os objetivos do estudo são: a)
analisar se esses professores conhecem e utilizam os Símbolos Táteis como Comunicação Aumentativa
e Alternativa entre os alunos referidos nessa pesquisa; b) conhecer quais são os Símbolos Táteis
usados por esses professores. O estudo integrou 6 participantes com idades entre 29 e 67 anos, do
gênero feminino, com graduação e professoras especializadas em deficiência visual que trabalham na
área há pelo menos um ano ocupando o cargo de professores do Ensino Básico Técnico Tecnológico
na instituição onde a pesquisa foi realizada, o Instituto Benjamin Constant. A metodologia utilizada foi
de natureza qualitativa, para a pesquisa foi construído um guião de entrevista semiestruturada e na
análise dos dados utilizamos a técnica de análise de conteúdo bardaniana. Os resultados do estudo
permitiram-nos concluir que os participantes conhecem e tem informações sobre Comunicação
Aumentativa e Alternativa e os Símbolos Táteis, pois afirmam que adquiriram conhecimento por meio
de trocas entre seus pares, na vivência diária do trabalho e nas universidades, além de declararem que
são recursos facilitadores para o desenvolvimento da comunicação do aluno. Todos os participantes
confirmaram já terem trabalhado com alunos com Deficiência Múltipla associada à deficiência visual e
grande parte asseguram que na interação com esses alunos a ausência de comunicação oral é um
fator desafiador e acrescentam que os Símbolos Táteis são importantes para o início da comunicação e
que seu uso é relevante ao longo do processo comunicativo. Alguns professores participantes relataram
que utilizavam símbolos nas práticas pedagógicas em diferentes momentos das atividades de maneira
lúdica, frequente e com a intenção de desenvolver a comunicação, e destacam a importância de se
pensar em formas de monitoramento das adequações dos símbolos e pontuam que o deslocamento
dos alunos pode ficar difícil devido ao tamanho dos símbolos. As recomendações descritas centraramse
na importância do trabalho colaborativo no processo de implementação e a necessidade de mais
pesquisas que envolvam a família dos alunos e os profissionais que intervém com alunos que usam
Símbolos Táteis. Tactile Symbols are effective in strategies in which professionals enable interventions that provide opportunities for the communicative development of students who are unable to establish oral communication, as is the case of students with Multiple Disabilities associated with visual impairment. This study aimed to analyze and identify the use of Tactile Symbols by teachers in supporting children with Multiple Disabilities associated with visual impairment. The objectives of this study are: a) to analyze if these teachers know and use Tactile Symbols as Augmentative and Alternative Communication among the students mentioned in this research; b) to know which are the Tactile Symbols used by these teachers. This study analyzed 6 participants aged between 29 and 67 years, female, with graduation, they also are teachers specialized in visual impairment who have worked in the area for at least one year, occupying the position of Basic Technical Technological Education teachers at Benjamin Constant Institute, Brazil, the institution where the research was carried out. The methodology applyed to this study was a qualitative research. For the analysis, a semi-structured interview guide was built and in the examination of the data was used Bardin Content Analysis Method. The results of the study allowed us to conclude that the participants know and have information about Augmentative and Alternative Communication and Tactile Symbols, as they claim that they acquired knowledge through exchanges between their peers, in the daily experience of work and universities. They also declared that it`s a facilitating resources for the development of communication of the student. All participants confirmed that they have already worked teaching students who have Multiple Disabilities associated with visual impairment and most of them ensure that in the interaction with these students the absence of oral communication is a challenging factor and most of the participants add that the Tactile Symbols are an important tool for the beginning of communication and that its use is relevant throughout the communicative process. Some teachers reported that they used symbols in pedagogical practices at different moments of school activities in a playful and frequent way, with the intention of developing student communication. They also highlight the importance of thinking about ways of monitoring the adequacy of symbols and point out that moving students can be challenging due to the size of the symbols. The recommendations described focused on the importance of collaborative work in the implementation process and the need for more studies involving students' families and professionals who teach students using Tactile Symbols. |
