Os primórdios da construção do próprio no contexto de interacção mãe-bebé

Abstract

Neste artigo, procuramos mostrar como os primórdios do Próprio são (co)construídos no contexto da interacção do bebé com a mãe. Recorrendo a alguns dos autores que se debruçaram sobre a origem do Próprio e à investigação científica neste domínio, descrevemos como os primórdios do Próprio são inequivocamente (co)construídos nos encontros e diálogos do bebé com os outros, com os outros signiifcativos, que são, nos momentos iniciais da existência, mais precisamente a mãe. A mãe, à medida que providencia experiências significativas ao bebé, possibilita que ele verdadeiramente exista e que construa um primeiro núcleo significativo do Próprio. Em traços mais largos, a família - com a qual a criança interage e estabelece um conjunto de experiências que lhe permitem formar uma primeira ideia acerca de si, dos outros e do mundo em geral - é assim a raiz signiifcativa do que o indivíduo é e será, assim como a raiz significativa daquilo que os outros são e serão para o indivíduo.

This paper shows how the beginnings of the self are (co) constructed in the context of mother-infant interaction. Based on some authors who had studied the origins of the self and in scientific research on this domain, we describe how the beginnings of the self are unequivocally (co) constructed in the infants meetings and dialogues with others, with significant others, who are, in the initial moments of the existence, more precisely the mother. As providing significant experiences, the mother gives to the infant the possibility of true existence and the possibility to construct a first self’s significant nucleus. In a more large view, the family - with whom the child interacts and establishes several experiences that permit him to make a first idea about the self, the others and the world in general - is the significant root of what the individual is and will be, as well as the significant root of what the others are and will be for the individual.
