The present dissertation is about the influence that the emotions have in the enterprising process. The entrepreneurship has been explored a lot by researchers due to the economical and social development that it has in society. However, the emotions that may be implicit in the enterprising process haven’t been approached so far. The main goals of the study are about analysing the influence of the emotions (fear, confidence, passion) in the identification of the opportunity and in its application throughout the enterprising process, presenting assumptions to improve the enterprising process. A quality emphasis was given throughout interviews to several entrepreneurs. It was also given a quantitative emphasis through a survey per quiz to the macro examination of the results given in the interviews, using a sample of 35 entrepreneurs. The data was collected in startup not only in the north of the country, but also in companies with innovative projects. The obtained results reveal that the most present emotion in the enterprising process is the confidence which is present in the identification and in the implementation of the opportunity. There was passion in the identification of the opportunity as well; however, it was less present in the next phase, the implementation of the project. As far as the fear is concerned, that was insignificant in the unique phase studied, the identification of the opportunity. The obtained results show not only the great confidence the entrepreneurs have in the identification and in the development of the project, but also a big starting passion that diminishes as the project starts. The lack of the effective perception of the project may be the reason for the insignificance of the fear. The appearance of an entrepreneur may be related to his/her motivations to the creation of a project. All in all, this work has contributed both to the deepening of the knowledge of the emotions present in the entrepreneur, mainly in two phases of the enterprising process, and to the improvement of this process. |
