retorno do investimento é superior a 15 anos. The Directive No. 2010/31 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of May 19, 2010 (EPBD-recast), transposed into national law by Decree Law No. 118/2013, of August 20, imposed as targets for 2020 to reduce energy consumption by 20%, 20% increase in the use of renewable energy and 20% reduction in emissions of greenhouse gases compared to 1990 levels and achieving NZEB - Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (buildings with almost zero energy needs). Although the EPBD-recast defined these goals for new buildings or buildings subjected to major rehabilitation works, for Portugal achieve these goals it is essential to install solar thermal panels also in all the rehabilitation works of buildings. However, more than installing is necessary to integrate the solar thermal panels in the building envelope (replacing the components), minimizing the aesthetic impact, reducing initial costs and improving the quality of buildings. The work carried out had the objective of identifying procedures which will contribute to obtain NZEB buildings in the future. In the current work the evaluation of the energy needs for the preparation of hot water (DHW) and for space heating was performed through simulation using DesignBuilder software. It was proposed to integrate solar thermal panels into three distinct elements of the building envelope (roof, facade and balcony guard) of a residential building subjected to rehabilitation works. The evaluation to the payback period of the investment was also performed. With this work was possible to identify which of the options outlined have higher performance, verify which type of collector suited best the energy needs of the building and if the cost of investment paid off. For the case study analysed the non-renewable energy consumption was reduced in approximately 45%, but the payback time was of more than 15 years. |
