Desenvolvimento e melhoria da manutenção preventiva numa empresa de mobiliário

Abstract

Esta dissertação surge no âmbito da realização do Mestrado Integrado em Engenharia e Gestão Industrial, com o objetivo de melhorar as ações de manutenção preventiva numa empresa de mobiliário, a IKEA Industry Portugal, aumentando a eficiência dos equipamentos, diminuir o número e tempos de paragem e custos de manutenção. A metodologia de investigação utilizada foi a investigação-ação, onde numa primeira fase foi diagnosticado o estado da organização e gestão da manutenção nas diversas áreas da fábrica, assim como o software que lhe serve de apoio. O diagnóstico permitiu identificar as principais debilidades do departamento de manutenção, em especial da manutenção preventiva, um dos pilares em que assenta a metodologia TPM, devido à reduzida percentagem de intervenções realizadas e da desequilibrada atribuição de tarefas pelos recursos disponíveis. A análise dos registos históricos de intervenções e os indicadores Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), taxa de avarias e disponibilidade, mostraram-se também de bastante utilidade pois permitiram identificar as áreas e respetivos equipamentos de produção mais críticos. Com o diagnóstico efetuado, planearam-se e implementaram-se ações de melhoria, através da criação de instruções de manutenção preventiva normalizadas, e uma eficiente atribuição e planeamento de tarefas ao longo do ano pelos técnicos de manutenção. Por fim efetuou-se uma avaliação das ações implementadas, tecendo as conclusões finais do trabalho realizado, sendo propostas algumas ações de melhoria que não foram realizadas no âmbito deste projeto.

This thesis was developed in the scope of the accomplishment of the Integrated Master Degree Industrial Engineering and Management, with the objective to improvement the actions of preventive maintenance in a furniture company, the IKEA Industry Portugal, increasing the efficiency of the equipment, to reduce the number of breakdowns, repair times and maintenance costs. The used research methodology was action-research that began with a diagnosis of the maintenance organization and management in the diverse areas of the plant, as well as the software that serves to its support. The diagnosis allowed to identify the main weaknesses of the department of maintenance, in special the preventive maintenance, one of the pillars of TPM methodology, due to reduced percentage of interventions carried through and the unbalanced attribution of tasks for the available resources. The analysis of the historical registers of interventions and of the mean time to repair (MTTR), mean time between failures (MTBF), failure rate and availability, had also revealed of high utility allowing the identification of critical areas and equipment. With the effected diagnosis, actions of improvement had been planned and implemented, through the creation of normalized instructions of preventive maintenance and an efficient attribution and planning of tasks throughout the year for the maintenance technician. Finally an evaluation of the implemented actions was performed, carrying through the conclusions of the performed work, and some improvement actions that had not been implemented in the scope of this project was suggested.
