Práticas educativas na sobredotação: diferenciação curricular e estratégias complementares

Abstract

A escola inclusiva, atenta à diversidade e à igualdade de oportunidades, deverá contemplar explicitamente a educação dos alunos mais capazes, talentosos ou sobredotados. Neste trabalho, tomamos como ponto de partida da intervenção com os alunos sobredotados a necessidade de adaptação e de diferenciação curricular para responder às suas necessidades individuais. Nessa lógica, destacamos a importância da complementaridade e da articulação das diversas formas de intervenção (aceleração, agrupamento e enriquecimento), caracterizando cada uma delas e apresentando alguns estudos face à sua eficácia. Fazemos ainda uma breve referência à situação em Portugal, destacando que importa sensibilizar e formar os agentes educativos face à problemática da sobredotação.

The inclusive school responding to the students ‘differences and to the opportunities’ equality should consider the education of the gifted and talented students. In this work, we take curricular adaptation and curricular differentiation as the main Intervention points centered on individual differences. We also defend the complementary use of the educational practices (acceleration, grouping and enrichment) explaining each one of them and presenting some studies about their efficacy. We briefly describe the practices for gifted students in Portugal and highlight the importance of the school staff sensitivity to understand giftedness.
