A expressão artística: uma janela aberta para a mediação

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio apresenta o resultado do projeto realizado no segundo ano do Mestrado em Educação, área de especialização em Mediação Educacional. O estágio desenvolveu-se entre outubro e junho do ano letivo 2022/2023, num Atelier de Artes Plásticas para crianças. Ao encorajarmos a criatividade, estamos a promover a capacidade que a criança possui de explorar e compreender o seu mundo, e de reagir e representar as suas perceções. Estamos a aumentar as oportunidades que têm de estabelecer novas relações, alcançar novos entendimentos e criar novos significados. Assim, o presente trabalho intitula-se “A expressão artística: uma janela aberta para a mediação” e tem como finalidade trabalhar as competências socioemocionais das crianças, a partir das atividades artísticas. Para a realização deste projeto foram selecionados dois grupos de trabalho: o segundo e o quarto grupos do atelier. O 2º grupo era composto por 12 crianças, sendo 4 rapazes e 6 raparigas e o 4º era composto por 8 crianças, sendo 2 rapazes e 6 raparigas. A metodologia utilizada para o desenvolvimento do projeto foi de natureza qualitatativa sustentada a partir da investigação-intervenção. Os objetivos de investigação centraram-se em compreender as potencialidades da expressão artística na mediação e identificar estratégias transformativas para a promoção de competências socioemocionais das crianças. Os objetivos de intervenção focaram-se em facilitar o diálogo entre todos; valorizar a cooperação para a criação artística e desenvolver a criatividade, a (auto)confiança, a comunicação e criar espaços de (auto)reflexão crítica. Evidencia-se alguns aspectos principais como, a evolução de comportamentos, a motivação, o envolvimento demonstrado pelas crianças e a expressão de sentimentos e de emoções. A variedade de respostas em diferentes atividades permitiu concluir que as crianças são criativas e pensam de modo diferente e por isso, tomam decisões e fazem escolhas diversificadas.

This internship report presents the result of the project carried out in the second year of the Master's Degree in Education, specializing in Educational Mediation. The internship took place between October and June of the 2022/2023 school year, in a Plastic Arts Workshop for children. By encouraging creativity, we are promoting the child's ability to explore and understand their world, and to react to and represent their perceptions. We are increasing the opportunities they have to establish new relationships, reach new understandings and create new meanings. This work is entitled "Artistic expression: an open window to mediation" and its aim is to work on children's socio-emotional skills through artistic activities. Two working groups were selected for this project: the second and fourth groups in the workshop. The 2nd group consisted of 12 children, 4 boys and 6 girls, and the 4th group consisted of 8 children, 2 boys and 6 girls. The methodology used to develop the project was qualitative, based on intervention research. The research objectives focused on understanding the potential of artistic expression in mediation and identifying transformative strategies for promoting children's socio-emotional skills. The intervention objectives focused on facilitating dialogue between everyone; valuing cooperation for artistic creation and developing creativity, (self)confidence, communication and creating spaces for critical (self)reflection. Some of the main aspects are evident, such as the evolution of behavior, motivation, the involvement shown by the children and the expression of feelings and emotions. The variety of responses in different activities has led us to conclude that the children are creative and think differently, so they make different decisions and choices.
