Desafios culturais e linguísticos na tradução e promoção de produtos portugueses no Japão: estágio na Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Luso-Japonesa

Abstract

O presente relatório visa descrever e analisar o estágio curricular desenvolvido na Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Luso-Japonesa no âmbito do Mestrado em Tradução e Comunicação Multilingue. Este decorreu entre março e agosto de 2023, de forma remota. Primeiramente, procurar-se-á realizar um enquadramento teórico de conceitos relevantes como: a direccionalidade da tradução; a tradução de marketing na era digital e as novas modalidades de texto nas redes sociais e o papel da tradução; o marketing intercultural nas redes sociais; o papel do storytelling e do taigendome como uma linguagem de marketing no Japão, entre outros. De seguida será realizada uma apresentação da entidade acolhedora, dos objetivos do estágio e da metodologia de trabalho adotada. Nos capítulos seguintes, começarão por ser descritos a análise das campanhas da concorrência e respetivos resultados. Com base nesta informação, passar-se-á à descrição do processo de redação e tradução de campanhas para as redes sociais da “The Cozy Couple”, bem como da criação do Guia Comunicacional. Finalmente será realizada uma reflexão das dificuldades sentidas em cada fase do estágio. Esta reflexão contribuirá, finalmente, para apreciar de que forma o estágio curricular complementou os conhecimentos e as competências adquiridas ao longo do mestrado.

This report aims to describe and analyse the curricular internship carried out at the Luso-Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of the Master's Degree in Translation and Multilingual Communication. This internship took place, through remote work, between March and August 2023. Firstly, we will try to provide a theoretical framework for relevant concepts such as the directionality of translation; marketing translation in the digital age and new forms of text in social networks and the role of translation; intercultural marketing on social networks; the role of storytelling and taigendome as a marketing language in Japan, among others. This will be followed by a presentation of the host organisation, the objectives of the internship and the work methodology adopted. The following chapters, begin by analysing competitors’ campaigns and their results. On the basis of this information, the process of writing and translating campaigns for “The Cozy Couple” social networks will be described, as well as the creation of the Communicational Guide. Finally, a reflection will be made on the difficulties experienced at each stage of the internship. This reflection will help to evaluate how the internship complemented the knowledge and skills acquired during the master's programme.

この報告書は、修士課程Tradução e Comunicação Multilingueの一環として行われた 日葡商工会議所でのインターンシップを説明し、分析することを目的としている。このイン ターンシップは、リモートワークで、2023年3月から8月まで行われた。 まず、第一に先行研究に基づいて、翻訳の方向性、デジタル時代のマーケティング翻訳、ソ ーシャルネットワークにおける新しいテキストの形と翻訳の役割、ソーシャルネットワーク における異文化間マーケティング、日本の市場におけるストーリーテリング、そして「体言 止め」などのマーケティング言語としての役割、この研修の関連コンセプトについて説明す る。 第二に、インターシップ先の組織の紹介、研修目的、および具体的な作業方法につ いて述べる。 第三に、競合他社のキャンペーンとその結果の分析をし、この情報をもとに、「The Cozy Couple」のソーシャルネットワーク向けのキャンペーンの記事の執筆と日本語への翻 訳をしたプロセス、そしてコミュニケーションガイドの作成について説明する。 最後に、インターンシップの各段階で経験した困難について振り返る。この反省は、 インターンシップにおける経験がこれまでに修士課程で得た知識とスキルをどのように補完 したかを評価することに役立つ。
