Participação de mulheres na produção de um instituto de investigação

Abstract

Em institutos de investigação(1), a avaliação da produção científica permite evidenciar seus diferentes aspectos, como as redes de coautoria. O objetivo deste estudo é efetuar uma análise, sob a perspectiva de gênero, da participação das mulheres na produção científica de um instituto de investigação na área espacial, aplicando a abordagem de Análise de Redes Sociais. O estudo constatou que, embora estejam em menor número, as mulheres apresentam níveis anuais de publicação muito próximos aos dos homens, o que contraria as expetativas iniciais e as evidências encontradas na revisão bibliográfica.

In research institutes, the evaluation of scientific production makes it possible to highlight different aspects, such as co-authorship networks. The aim of this study is to analyze, from a gender perspective, the participation of women in the scientific production of a research institute in the spatial area, applying the Social Network Analysis approach. The study found that, although they are fewer in number, women have annual publication levels very close to those of men, which contradicts initial expectations and the evidence found in the literature review.
