No entanto, devido
In the aeronautical industry, aluminium alloy plates are very commonly used in aircraft structures due to their low weight and good mechanical performance, however, because of their low resistance to buckling, these plates are reinforced to support greater loads. This work, firstly started by numerically analysing the buckling in simple rectangular plates, that is, without any stiffener in its structure, and later, reinforced rectangular plates with the dimension of 750x750 mm, with several types of stiffeners sections, equally spaced where global buckling of the reinforced plate occurred. Subsequently, two specific cases were analysed numerically, in rectangular reinforced plates, but where local buckling of the stiffener and plate occurred. The results obtained showed that the reinforced plates, as would be expected, presented higher critical buckling loads (load from which the plate begins to bend) than the simple plate. Comparing to the reinforced plates that buckled globally, the plate with the “hat” reinforcement presented the highest critical buckling load, and a direct relationship was found between the critical buckling load of the reinforced plates, and the second moments of area of the buckling. corresponding stiffener. After that, to validate the method adopted for numerical analysis, an analytical analysis of structures identical to those previously analysed was carried out, and it was proved that the numerical simulations corresponded satisfactorily to the problem in question. The relative errors between numerical and analytical results ranged from 3 to 11%. Finally, a case study was carried out on the wing structure of the Spitfire VII plane, in which it was proposed to change the spacing between the ribs and the implementation of a longitudinal stiffener in the section of the wing that suffers the most buckling efforts. The application of a “hat” type reinforcement allowed simultaneously to increase the spacing between ribs from 105 to 200 mm, to reduce the mass of each wing of 0.259 kg and to increase the critical buckling load of a certain section of the wing from 7330, 51 N/m to 14355 N/m. |
