dc.description.abstract | University students often experience problems that denote a negative emotion, which can lead to an attempt at self-control that the exercises exert, resulting in greater impulsiveness that leads to greater vulnerability and the use of negative behaviors as a mechanism of dysfunction. compensation. The present study aimed to verify the frequency of dysfunctional eating attitudes and behaviors; to evaluate the association between negative urgency, inhibitory control, difficulties in emotion regulation and behaviors and attitudes related to PDA; and, finally, to evaluate the possible mediating effect of difficulties in inhibitory control in the relationship between difficulties in emotional regulation and food restriction. The sample consisted of 83 participants. Self-report questionnaires were applied to assess eating behaviors, difficulties in emotion regulation and negative urgency, and a Go\No-Go emotional task was also developed to assess inhibitory control. The results obtained revealed the existence of a significant percentage of Objective Bulimic Episodes among university students. However, the results suggest that inhibitory control does not mediate the relationship between emotional regulation difficulties and dietary restriction. | por |
