[Excerpt] Death and dying are stilla taboo subject in contemporary society. We are witnessing the denial of finitude, an attitude wich ultimately has the efect od diminishing the attention and care of those who are in the final stages of life. In this context, the work of the psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross (1926-2004) strongly awakens us to the need to death education an toa greater awareness and humanization in end-of-life care.
