Mozambique is one of the countries most affected by the HIV/AIDS virus with about 2.1 million Mozambicans living with it (Government of Mozambique, 2008), presenting a significant prevalence among the young population, reasons that motivated a study on HIV/AIDS part of the population. More specifically, a study that focuses on people between the age of 15 and 24 and which focused on their age of having about the disease. The study was based on surveys conducted in the years 2009, 2011 and 2015, and initially it was planned to have results of the surveys of the year 2003, the databases withheld information about the person being surveyed, the knowledge he has about HIV/AIDS and the behaviors that the person in which he/she has such as condom use, the HIV/AIDS test, among others. The objective of this work is to identify the determinants that most influence a greater or lesser knowledge about HIV/AIDS and also to try trends of the same over the years in which the study was carried out. It was a logistic regression model in order to verify variables with a negative or positive influence on the knowledge of HIV/AIDS, and the variable with this binary information is more sense to use this type of model. |
