A música e a prosódia: uma exploração pelo mundo animal

Abstract

O projeto A Música e a Prosódia: uma Exploração pelo Mundo Animal - desenvolvido numa sala de quatro anos, em contexto de Jardim-de-Infância, surgiu do interesse do grupo de crianças pelas atividades que englobam música e pela audição de histórias. A escolha do tema interligou a música, a prosódia e os animais. Os objetivos do projeto foram: (i) proporcionar às crianças meios e motivações para desenvolverem o seu sentido musical; (ii) estimular e desenvolver as diferentes formas de comunicação e expressão artística, bem como a imaginação criativa, integrando-as de forma a assegurar um desenvolvimento sensorial, motor e afetivo equilibrado; (iii) promover o conhecimento das diversas linguagens artísticas e proporcionar experiências nestas áreas de modo a estender o âmbito da formação global; (iv) adquirir conhecimentos sobre animais e as suas relações com o seu meio ecológico; (v) averiguar o papel da música na construção de conhecimentos. A investigação-ação foi a metodologia de investigação utilizada e os instrumentos de recolha de informação foram a observação, as notas de campo e o registo fotográfico. No decorrer das atividades, o grupo apresentou-se bastante empenhado e motivado para a construção de novas aprendizagens quer no âmbito do vocabulário, aquisição de linguagem, nas trocas comunicativas, na imaginação e criatividade, assim como no âmbito musical no desenvolvimento cognitivo, afetivo e psicomotor, criando produções significativas reveladoras dos conhecimentos adquiridos. Esta intervenção promoveu a cooperação entre o Jardim-de-Infância e a família sendo a participação ativa dos pais, uma verdadeira vantagem amparando e ajudando a uma maior envolvência.

The project Music and Prosody: an Exploration through the Animal World - developed in a four year old classroom, in a Kindergarten context, arose from the interest of the group of children for activities that include music and listening to stories. The choice of theme interconnected music, prosody and animals. The objectives of the project were: (i) provide children with the means and motivations to develop their musical sense; (ii) stimulate and develop the different forms of communication and artistic expression, as well as creative imagination, integrating them in order to ensure a balanced sensory, motor and affective development; (iii) promote knowledge of the various artistic languages and provide experiences in these areas in order to extend the scope of global training; (iv) acquire knowledge about animals and their relationships with their ecological environment; (v) ascertain the role of music in the construction of knowledge. Action-research was the research methodology used and the information gathering tools were observation, field notes and photographic record. During the activities, the group was very committed and motivated to the construction of new learning in the areas of vocabulary, language acquisition, communicative exchanges, imagination and creativity, as well as in the musical area in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor development, creating significant productions that reveal the knowledge acquired. This intervention promoted cooperation between the kindergarten and the family, with the active participation of parents being a real advantage, supporting and helping a greater involvement.
