Promoção da Ecoliteracia: estratégias pedagógicas para combater a indiferença ecológica no 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e no 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico

Abstract

O presente documento surgiu no âmbito da Unidade Curricular Estágio no decorrer do segundo ano do mestrado em Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e de Português e História e Geografia de Portugal no 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. O tema central abordado nas intervenções educativas foi a promoção da consciência ecológica dos alunos relativamente aos problemas ambientais que ameaçam o nosso planeta, recorrendo à exploração de obras de literatura infantojuvenil e à escrita de diferentes géneros textuais, com o propósito de contribuir para a formação de cidadãos mais conscientes, ponderados e críticos acerca da influência do ser humano no meio ambiente. O Projeto partiu, portanto, do estudo da Língua Portuguesa, mas implementou atividades transdisciplinares, procurando articular conhecimentos com outras áreas do saber como o Estudo do Meio, a Matemática e as Artes. O estágio decorreu em turmas do 2.º e do 5.º ano, em escolas do distrito de Braga, Portugal. A metodologia utilizada neste projeto foi de investigação-ação. Foram recolhidos dados a partir de trabalhos desenvolvidos pelos alunos, de observação direta registada em diário de bordo e de fichas de metacognição. A intervenção foi permanentemente acompanhada de reflexão sobre o trabalho desenvolvido.

The present work was developed as part of the Internship Curricular Unit during the second year of the Master´s in Teaching in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and in Portuguese and History and Geography of Portugal in the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education. The central theme addressed in the educational interventions was the promotion of students´ ecological awareness of the environmental problems that threaten our planet, using the exploration of children´s literature and writing in different textual genres, with the purpose of contributing to the formation of more aware, thoughtful and critical citizens about the influence of human beings on the environment. Therefore, the project started from the study of the Portuguese language, but implemented transdisciplinary activities, seeking to articulate knowledge with other areas of knowledge such as the study of the environment, mathematics and the arts. The internship took place in 2nd and 5th grade classes, in schools in the district of Braga, Portugal. The methodology used in this project was action-research. Data were collected from work carried out by the students, direct observation recorded in a logbook and metacognition worksheets. The intervention was permanently accompanied by reflection on the work carried out.
