As principais dificuldades destacadas pelas empresas
The term Industry 4.0 traces the imminent changes in the industrial scenario, where products, machines and people are increasingly connected in a network, with the availability of information in real time. With this industrial revolution comes the need to renew the structures that manage organizational processes, namely integrated management systems, and make them capable of facing all changes. Young people will be an asset in this new industrial age, as it is a generation that was already “born” with incorporated technology. Therefore, the study of people's behaviour is essential in this new industrial context, making it necessary to investigate the new associated risks. This dissertation aimed to study the dimensions that comprise each of the areas under study, namely Industry 4.0 and Occupational Health and Safety, so that a management system can successfully face this new industrial era. For this, a bibliographical analysis was carried out in order to understand the main concepts applied in each area under study. We chose to use a qualitative methodological approach, based on semi-structured interviews applied to technicians active in the area of Occupational Health and Safety. The interviews aimed to understand the greatest difficulties experienced by technicians and whether companies are prepared to face the challenges arising from the new industrial era. The key concepts focused on augmented reality, autonomous robots, industrial automation and artificial intelligence, highlighting six pillars that are seen as essential for a company. It was possible to verify that companies are not prepared to face the challenges posed by Industry 4.0 through an Occupational Health and Safety Management System, since ISO 45001:2018 does not yet contemplate this new industrial revolution, making it if essential there is an adaptation of the standard to the new context of work. The main difficulties highlighted by the companies that participated in this study were the extensive legislation that does not follow the industrial evolution, the high capital required for the initial investment, the difficult access to know-how and the impact that this will reflect on production. As for the main associated risks, musculoskeletal injuries and moving “parts” continue to stand out. |
