A importância do canto no ensino do piano

Abstract

O presente relatório foi elaborado no âmbito do Estágio Profissional do Mestrado em Ensino de Música da Universidade do Minho e descreve a Intervenção Pedagógica realizada durante o ano letivo 2020/2021, no Conservatório de Guimarães nos Grupos de Recrutamento M17 – Piano e M32 – Classe de Conjunto/Música de Câmara. Esta intervenção focou-se essencialmente na importância do canto no ensino do piano, procurando perceber a utilidade e o potencial desta “ferramenta” pedagógica. Inicialmente foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa relativa aos fundamentos teóricos que motivaram esta intervenção, com o objetivo de definir os aspetos centrais da investigação e fundamentar as estratégias utilizadas na implementação do projeto. A intervenção foi desenvolvida com cinco alunos, três em contexto de aula individual e dois em aula de Classe de Conjunto/Música de Câmara, com idades entre os 10 e os 17 anos. Os instrumentos de recolha de dados abrangeram a observação de aulas, a aplicação de questionários pré e pós intervenção e a realização de uma entrevista à professora cooperante. Os resultados obtidos foram claramente positivos. Foi notória uma evolução no processo de aprendizagem de todos os alunos, tendo os próprios corroborado a perceção de que a sua evolução e compreensão do instrumento melhorou com a aplicação do canto nas aulas. Desta forma, concluiu-se que esta pode ser mais uma estratégia importante a aplicar nas aulas de ensino de piano no sentido de obter alunos mais motivados, com melhores resultados e capazes de uma maior evolução na aprendizagem musical.

This Internship Report is part of the Masters´s Degree in Music Teaching at the University of Minho and describes the project of Pedagogical Intervention carried out during the 2020/2021 school year at the Guimarães Conservatory in recruitment groups M17 – Piano and M32 – Chamber Music class. This intervention plan focused essentially on the importance of singing in piano teaching and seeks to understand the usefulness and potential of this pedagogical “tool”. Initially, a research was carried out on the theoretical foundations that motivated this intervention, with the aim of defining the central aspects of the investigation and substantiating the strategies used to implement this project. The intervention was developed with five students, three in the context of individual classes and two in chamber music classes, aged between 10 and 17 years. The data collection instruments included the observation of classes, the application of pre and post intervention questionnaires and an interview with the cooperating teacher. The results obtained were clearly positive. An evolution in the learning process of all students was evident, with the students themselves corroborating the perception that their evolution and understanding of the instrument improved with the application of singing in class. Thus, it was concluded that this can be another important strategy to be applied in piano teaching classes in order to obtain more motivated students, with better results and capable of greater evolution in musical learning.
