Contributos do espaço exterior na construção de aprendizagens integradas e significativas na educação Pré-Escolar

Abstract

O presente relatório enquadra-se no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada (PES), do 2.º ano de Mestrado em Educação Pré-escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, do Instituto de Educação da Universidade do Minho, no ano letivo de 2019-2020, e ocupa-se da apresentação e discussão de um o projeto de investigação, que tem na sua base um processo de intervenção pedagógica desenvolvido num contexto de Educação Pré-escolar, cujo objetivo principal do estudo considera das potencialidades do espaço exterior como elemento diferenciador no desenvolvimento de aprendizagens integradas e significativas. O documento retrata um projeto de investigação, que vem de certa forma ajudar a entender e a visionar a educação e o ensino, tendo como foco estudar os contributos do espaço exterior na construção de aprendizagens integradas e significativas, na Educação Pré-escolar. O projeto segue uma metodologia de investigação-ação, que se caracteriza por ser um estudo de natureza qualitativa. O projeto de investigação desenvolveu-se com base em dados recolhidos em contexto de Educação Pré-Escolar, numa instituição de ensino público, num universo que engloba um grupo de 18 crianças com idades compreendidas entre 3 e 4 anos de idade. Para sustentar a análise e fundamentação dos dados tornou-se necessário escolher algumas técnicas e instrumentos de recolha de dados. A análise qualitativa de dados desenvolvida no estudo vai ao encontro dos objetivos de investigação referenciados no corpo do documento. Um dos objetivos centra-se em refletir sobre as potencialidades do espaço exterior como agente educativo, no qual poderemos concluir que o espaço exterior potencializou o surgimento de momentos múltiplos reais, no qual houve possibilidade de explorar a Natureza. Desta forma, verificou-se que o este espaço permitiu a diversificação e o enriquecimento das atividades educativas. Ainda mais, potencializou um melhor bem-estar das crianças e favoreceu o brincar e, desta forma, fomentou o sentimento de felicidade nas mesmas. O segundo objetivo de investigação centra-se em compreender os contratempos em desenvolver atividades no espaço exterior. Desta forma, conclui-se que o Espaço Exterior se apresentou muitas vezes inalcançável por motivos que têm substancialmente que ver com as condições atmosféricas presentes aquando da dinamização de atividades, sendo este um dos maiores contratempos apresentados, aquando da dinamização de atividades neste espaço. Estes objetivos enunciados tornam-se pertinentes no seio do foco central do estudo, sendo designado como “Contributos do Espaço Exterior na Construção de Aprendizagens Integradas e Significativas na Educação Pré-Escolar”.

This report is part of the Supervised Teaching Practice (PES), of the 2nd year of the Master's Degree in Pre-school Education and Teaching in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, of the Institute of Education, University of Minho, in the academic year 2019-2020, and is focuses with the presentation and discussion of a research project, which is based on a process of educational intervention developed in a context of Pre-school Education, whose main objective of the study considers the potential of outdoor space as a differentiating element in the development of integrated and significant learning. The document portrays a research project, which comes in a way to help understand and to envision education and teaching, focusing on studying the contributions of outdoor space in the construction of integrated and significant learning in pre-school education. The project follows an action research methodology, which is characterised as a qualitative study. The research project was developed based on data collected in a pre-school context, in a public education institution, in a universe that includes children aged between 3 and 4 years old. In order to sustain the analysis and substantiation of the data, it became necessary to choose some data collection techniques and instruments. The qualitative data analysis developed in the study meets the research objectives referred to in the body of the document. One of the objectives focuses on reflecting on the potential of the outdoor space as an educational agent, in which we can conclude that the outdoor space enabled the emergence of real multiple moments, in which there was the possibility of exploring Nature. Thus, it was verified that this space allowed the diversification and enrichment of educational activities. Furthermore, it promoted a better well-being of children and encouraged play and thus fostered a sense of happiness in them. The second research objective focuses on understanding the setbacks in developing activities in the outdoor space. Thus, it was concluded that the outdoor space was often unreachable for reasons that have substantially to do with the weather conditions present at the time of the activities, this being one of the biggest setbacks presented, when the activities in this space. These objectives become relevant within the central focus of the study, being designated as "Contributions of Outdoor Space in the Construction of Integrated and Meaningful Learning in Preschool Education.”
