Resumo(s): | O presente trabalho tem o objetivo de analisar o conteúdo das informações de sustentabilidade divulgadas pela empresa Klöckner Pentaplast, conhecer as motivações subjacentes às suas tomadas de decisão relativamente à elaboração e publicação de informação sobre este tema, analisar os impactos decorrentes da elaboração e da publicação dessa informação e, avaliar a importância que a empresa atribui a este tema da sustentabilidade.
A sustentabilidade tornou-se num problema social e económico, aumentando as preocupações relativas ao impacto das ações das empresas. Os diferentes stakeholders estão cada vez mais interessados na informação sobre sustentabilidade, já que procuram informação relacionada com as responsabilidades e a interação social e ambiental, e não apenas informação sobre resultados e lucros.
Para se alcançar os objetivos deste estudo, foram realizadas cinco entrevistas semiestruturadas, complementadas com uma análise ao website da empresa.
Os resultados revelam que o relato de sustentabilidade da Klöckner Pentaplast é um relato voluntário, partilhado principalmente pelo seu website. Este relato tem como foco o plástico, no entanto a empresa tenciona nos próximos anos lançar um relatório voluntário de sustentabilidade. Desde o início este relato foi motivado por uma procura de stakeholders externos, e pelo desejo interno da empresa partilhar o trabalho que faz. Concluiu-se também que os colaboradores consideram que é importante a empresa divulgar informações sobre sustentabilidade, uma vez que é uma das formas da empresa mostrar a qualidade dos seus produtos, e pelo facto de se tratar de uma questão de imagem. This work has the objective of analyzing the content of the sustainability shared information by the company Klöckner Pentaplast, to know the motivations behind its decision making regarding the elaboration and publication of information about this subject, to analyze the impacts resulting from the elaboration and publication of this information, and to evaluate the importance that the company assign to this sustainability theme. Sustainability has become a social and economic problem, increasing the concerns regarding the impact of companies actions. The different stakeholders are increasingly interested in the information about sustainability, as they look for information related to the responsibilities and social and environmental interaction, and not just information about the results and profits. To achieve the objectives of this study, five semi-structured interviews were performed, complemented with an analysis to the company website. The results reveal that Klöckner Pentaplast's sustainability report is a voluntary report, shared mainly through its website. This report focuses on plastic, however the company intends to launch a voluntary sustainability report in the next years. Since the beginning this report has been motivated by a demand from external stakeholders, and the company internal desire to share the work it does. It was also concluded that the employees consider that it is important for the company to disclose information about sustainability, since it is one of the ways the company shows the quality of its products, and because it is a matter of image. |
