frequentam o 3º, 4º e 5º grau do ensino articulado e o quinto elemento frequenta o 8º grau
A explicação poderá estar
The purpose of the report that follows is to show the use of memorization and audiation, as tools for the performative development of the student as a flute apprentice, as far as the vocational teaching of music is concerned. Thus the title of the project “Mnemotechnical Resources in the Flute Classroom”. All the students involved in the development of this project attend the Flute Class at Academia de Música Valentim Moreira de Sá, in Guimarães. Four of them attend the third, the fourth and the fifth grades of “ensino articulado” (a specific official and governmentally supported curriculum that includes the teaching of music and a musical instrument) and one of them attends the eighth grade in “regime supletivo” (which also corresponds to the official curriculum, yet without governmental financial support). The main reason for the choice of this subject comes from the recognition, supported by my own personal experience and the benefits associated with the development of the memorization and audiation tools in musical performance. Accordingly, one of the objectives of this project was to understand whether it is viable and favourable for the student to use such tools in the classroom or not. This project was especially directed to the research of which factors may influence the process of memorization and the way in which strategies can be developed so as to improve the performative capacities of the students. This way, a whole group of exercises was carried out, not only to work musical elements (such as rhythmic and melodic patterns), but also explore the emotions as factors that may influence the types of memory more commonly used by musicians, namely visual, aural, analytical and kinaesthetic/mechanical. In sequence, the memorization processes were analysed and particular attention was paid to the intervals of time required for the complete memorization of each exercise, bearing in mind that the main objective was to come to conclusions as for the advantages and disadvantages of using these methods in the classroom. The results obtained while doing the exercises, show that there is a tendency to reduce the time which takes to memorization. The explanation may be associated with the fact that the students understood the strategies applied and thus managed to become more autonomous, as initially intended. In a nutshell, this means that it is possible to come to the conclusion that their use is beneficial for the development of the apprentice as a musician and should obviously be included in the classroom. |
