O currículo na construção da cidadania ativa: contributos para a qualidade das aprendizagens: um estudo numa escola do 1º ciclo, 7ª classe, do município de Benguela-Angola

Abstract

O presente estudo, intitulado O Currículo na Construção da Cidadania Ativa. Contributos para a Qualidade das Aprendizagens – um estudo numa escola do 1º ciclo, 7ª classe, do Município de Benguela-Angola, insere-se no quadro de uma etapa culminar para a obtenção do grau de mestre. A pesquisa foi realizada no presente ano (2016), seguindo uma metodologia tipo estudo de caso, com propósito compreensivo, contou com a participação de diferentes atores, com destaque para os membros de direção de uma escola do 1.º Ciclo, 7.ª classe, professores e alunos, o que permitiu colher uma pluralidade de opiniões baseadas no modus como cada ator encara o estado do processo de ensino e aprendizagem da disciplina de Educação Moral e Cívica (E.M.C.). Entre os elementos que alavancaram o curso da pesquisa, destacam-se: i) o currículo, que constituiu a principal unidade de análise; ii) O conteúdo respeitante à construção da cidadania ativa; iii) a qualidade das aprendizagens. Os resultados obtidos a partir dos relatos dos inquiridos e entrevistados demonstram a necessidade de se reformular o programa da disciplina de E.M.C da 7ª classe, de forma a permitir que, o respetivo conteúdo, contribua na construção e no incentivo, objetivando facilitar a construção de uma cidadania ativa, no processo de ensino e aprendizagem da disciplina. Assim, na opinião dos mesmos, ao privilegiar-se temas dessa natureza, estar-se-ia não só a preencher uma lacuna observável no currículo, mas também a melhorar a qualidade de ensino da disciplina em causa, sobretudo pelo facto de, nas possíveis mudanças, operar alguns valores considerados imperiosos no século XXI, mas que se encontram ameaçados e merecerem destaque nesta nova configuração que se sugere

The current study is entitled, The Curriculum in the Construction of Active Citizenship. Contributions for a more Qualitative Learning – a study carried out in a 1st cycle school, 7th grade, in Benguela Municipality – Angola. This represents the final step in order to obtain a master’s degree. The research was carried out during the current year (2016) the methodology used was a case study , it involved the participation of several people, members of the Directorate Board of the mentioned school, teachers and students, which allowed us to gather various opinions based on the way each of the intervenient sees and understands about the processes of teaching and learning of the subject, Civic and Moral Education (EMC). Among the elements that encourage the research, we mention the following as the main points; i)The Curriculum , which is the main unity or subject of analysis; ii) The content related to the construction of an active citizenship; iii) The qualitative learning. The obtained results, from the inquired and interviewed sample, indicates the need to reformulate the contents of the Civic and Moral Education subject of the 7th grade, so that its contents may encourage and facilitate the construction of an active citizenship in other to allow that, it contributes better in the construction of an active citizenship as part of the teaching and learning program of the subject. Therefore, according to the inquired, opinions by giving priority to the topics of this nature a remarkable gap in the current Curriculum can be filled, as well, it would improve the quality of teaching the subject, mainly because some changes will consider important aspects taken as of extreme value in the 21st century, Values that are at risk and are therefore in need to be highlighted in this new foreseen configuration.
