Música contemporânea de vanguarda como fator de motivação no ensino-aprendizagem do trombone

Abstract

Este relatório de estágio inseriu-se no âmbito da prática de ensino supervisionada, que consta no segundo ano de Mestrado, conducente ao grau de Mestre em Ensino de Música, da Universidade do Minho. O Relatório dá conta do trabalho realizado durante o estágio, esperando-se que possa contribuir para a reflexão sobre práticas pedagógicas no ensino do trombone, tendo em vista a promoção de aprendizagens significativas. Visando ainda promover em todos os alunos uma formação global para a música, foram previstas situações de aprendizagem promotoras do desenvolvimento de competências musicais e culturais. Assim, ao longo deste relatório serão apresentados alguns dados de acontecimentos ocorridos durante a prática pedagógica, com ênfase no projeto de intervenção designado A música contemporânea de Vanguarda como fator de motivação no Ensino/Aprendizagem do Trombone. O objetivo desta investigação foi o de avaliar se o reportório da música contemporânea influencia o grau de motivação dos alunos, partindo do princípio de que a motivação é uma componente fundamental para atingir o sucesso no ensino de um instrumento. Pretendeu-se ainda fazer enfatizar a pertinência do reportório contemporâneo na sala de aula, onde ainda se encontram algumas hesitações sobre o seu enquadramento geral. Os dados obtidos apontam para vantagens na inclusão deste tipo de reportório no Ensino Secundário, uma vez que este acarreta um grande desafio para os alunos, funcionando como um enorme fator de motivação. Estes dados estão presentes nas planificações/relatórios, no diálogo próximo com os alunos, e na observação e análise das entrevistas.

This internship report was inserted in the context of supervised teaching practice, within the second year of the Masters course, leading to the degree of Master in Music Teaching at the University of Minho. This report is an account of the work carried out during the intership, hoping to contribute to the reflection of pedagogical practices within the teaching of the trombone, in order to promote of meaningful learning. In order to promote a comprehensive musical formation to every student, learning situations upholding the development of musical and cultural skills were further provided. Thus, this report will present data of events occurred during supervised teaching practice, as well as during the implementation of the intervention project under the title Frontline Contemporary Music as a Motivational Factor in the Teaching and Learning Process of the Trombone. The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate whether contemporary repertoire could influence the level of student motivation, under the assumption that motivation is a fundamental element in the process of learning a musical instrument. It was also intended to emphasise the relevance of contemporary repertoire in the classroom, where there are still some hesitations about its overall context. Global data point to the advantages of including this type of repertoire in the secondary level, since this entails a great challenge for students and, as such, may act as a huge motivating factor. These data are present in the lesson plans/reports, in close dialogue with students, and in the observation and analysis of the interviews.
