Desta forma, as
fenómenos; a formação pessoal e social.
prazeroso. The present internship report is titled “The pathway of knowledge building utilizing the five senses”. It's purpose is to raise awareness to the developed intervention plan in a nursery context. This is in line with the Curricular Unit of Practice in Supervised teaching in pre-school education (2014-2015). When a child is the active individual on own teaching process- the adults should therefore provide space and time in order for the child to be the maker of it's own knowledge. It is this that the project intends to expose, how the child builds knowledge, through educational contexts counting with adults support. The children that attend pre-school education are permanently in touch with multiple objects that invite exploration through all the senses. The interaction that develops through the materials that surround them turn the children more capable to interpret the sensorial signals that the world provides. Allied with this finding, is the interest displayed by the nursery for the five senses, specifically, it's performance in our bodies and it's absence is some people leading then to the driving force of this intervention. In a way, the children's verbalisations regarding what they want to learn, then originated the planning of activities that involved expression through diverse materials, those being of different textures, taste; sciences that broaden children's knowledge through the comprehension and use of scientific notions and phenomena, as well as, social and personal development, displayed a group of attentive children in the needs and difficulties of others. On the other hand, on the nursery valence, the theme changed as in the context all children learn with their senses seeing that all the developed activities were based on curiosities, observed interests and verbalizations during the interactions with the materials, the children's space and its colleagues ion a daily routine. This way, what the children already knew, wished to know and what they chose to do provided them with a platform to build a learning which was both pleasurable and involving. |
