coletividade. At the present moment, the economic, financial, cultural and the social crisis has shown the limits and the impasses of the liberal market economy. It is therefore important to promote another model, while putting the individual at the centre of the current concerns. As the sociologist Edgar Morin (2003) states the giant planetary crisis is the crisis of humanity that cannot access humanity. However, as advocates Delors (1996), the issues of polítical action, the economy, education, society and the evolution of humanity are linked to learning arising from school and staying for social life: learning to know, learning to do, learning how to do, learning to be, learning to act and learning to build. Hence, it is our intention, to ask ourselves about the Social Policy of the current Education in Portugal and how it can be an opportunity to "humanise the economy." There are several authors who have reflected about the educational policy, and on the perspective of humanisation. It is of paramount importance to stimulate awareness and commitment to social and economic action (Freire, 1997), teach the human to human (Morin, 2003) and develop programmes of humanisation of the economy, as some of its perspectives. The education policy keeps a close relationship with the social economy in the sense that the latter is aimed at the emancipation of the people and the exercise of economic citizenship. This emancipation requires education, the capacity of each one to better understand the world, its challenges and the mechanisms which govern the economy. In this sense, the development of an economy that is opposed to a capitalist model, places the person in the centre of their concerns. It supports without fail the development of a critical spirit and an appropriation of the founding principles of the social economy (democracy, respect, social justice, be non-profit, citizenship, collaboration with social tasks). |
