Resumo(s): | A presente investigação tem como propósito a importância dos contratos de
crédito ao consumo e o sobreendividamento dos consumidores.
O crédito ao consumo é um fenómeno social complexo condicionado por
diversos fatores e com bastante influência sobre os indivíduos. Com a mudança
permanente dos hábitos de consumo, os indivíduos recorrem cada vez mais ao crédito
que, associado às facilidades oferecidas pelas instituições financeiras fez despoletar o
aumento dos níveis de endividamento dos consumidores. Nos últimos anos, em diversos
países europeus, incluindo Portugal, houve um aumento extraordinário do
endividamento.
Face ao supracitado, pretendemos também com o presente estudo a
caracterização do consumidor sobreendividado. Mais concretamente, pretende-se
conhecer as especificidades destes consumidores a nível sociodemográfico, financeiro e
do crédito contraído, contribuindo assim para o aumento do conhecimento sobre este
tema. Com os dados recolhidos através dos 50 questionários realizados no Gabinete de
Apoio ao Sobreendividado da Delegação Regional do Norte da Associação Portuguesa
de Defesa do Consumidor, doravante designada por DECO, no período de Junho a
Setembro de 2014, vai ser possível verificar a caracterização pretendida. Os
questionários foram estruturados de forma a obter as informações necessárias para
responder a estas questões.
No que concerne à Caracterização Sociodemográfica, verificamos que a maioria
das pessoas que recorre ao crédito é do género masculino (50,0%), com idade
compreendida entre os 45-55 (32,0%) e casados ou em união de facto (52,0%).
Relativamente à Caracterização Financeira, a principal fonte de rendimento do
consumidor é o salário (69,2%) com um valor médio de rendimento por agregado
familiar entre os 486,00€ e os 805,00€ (34,0%). Por fim, no que respeita à
Caracterização do Crédito, o principal motivo que leva o consumidor a recorrer ao
crédito é o pagamento de outras dívidas (31,3%) possuem dois créditos em simultâneo
(38,0%) e a principal razão apontada para o incumprimento do crédito é a redução do
rendimento familiar (27,4%). The present investigation has as purpose, the analysis of the importance of consumer credits. The consumer credit it´s a complex social phenomenon influenced by several factors and with important influence on people. With the constant change of consuming habits, individuals apply in a regular way to the easy credit, opening way to the overindebtment. Several countries, including Portugal, had a considerable raise of overindebtment. This study intends to characterize the over-indebted consumer, more specifically at a sociodemographic level, financial level and in terms of type of credit indebtment, contributing to the knowledge of this theme. After collecting 50 surveys through the Indebt Support Office – North Region (DECO – Consumer Support) during the time between July and September of the year 2014, it was possible to collect enough information to proceed to the characterization we were aiming for. Concerning the sociodemographic analyzes, it was possible to see that the majority of credit users are Men in the age between 45 and 55 years old (32,0%). Regarding the financial analysis, the major source of income is the salary (69,2%) with an average of family incomes between 486,00€ and 805,00€ (34,0%). At last concerning the credit analysis, it's possible to verify that the main reason to justify the need of credit appliance is the need to pay other debts (31,3%) having 2 credits at the same time (38,0%). In credit analysis its possible as well to verify that the main reason to justify the credit payments failures are connected to unrespectable decrease of the family income (27,4%). |
