Transporte ativo para a escola e os fatores socioeconómicos: um estudo com alunos do ensino secundário

Abstract

Este relatório tem como objetivo descrever o meu processo de formação individual, que foi delineado tendo em conta o desenvolvimento dos conhecimentos e competências profissionais, assim como a reflexão acerca do papel de Professor de Educação Física durante o ano de estágio curricular. Assenta igualmente no enquadramento contextual, na intervenção pedagógica no processo ensinoaprendizagem, na participação na escola e na relação com a comunidade educativa. Segundo Saraiva & Rodrigues, (2009), é importante incutir o fomento da prática de atividade física em contexto escolar. O deslocamento ativo para a escola é uma fonte de atividade física moderada contínua que os jovens têm ignorado (Tudor-Lock et al, 2002). O objetivo do presente trabalho incide no estudo do transporte ativo para a escola em alunos do ensino secundário e os fatores socioeconómicos, incentivando os mesmos para a utilização da bicicleta como meio de transporte no trajeto casa-escola. A amostra é constituída por 150 alunos de ambos os géneros, entre os 16 e os 18 anos, participantes nas aulas de Educação Física, de uma escola secundária do concelho de Guimarães. Apesar de 95,3% da amostra saber andar de bicicleta e 71,3% concordar que a bicicleta ajudaria o agregado familiar a poupar dinheiro, verificamos que 76,8% utiliza a forma passiva para se deslocar para a escola.

This report aims to describe my process of individual training, which was designed taking into account the development of professional knowledge and skills, and the reflection of the role of Professor of Physical Education during traineeship. It is also based on the contextual framework, the pedagogical intervention in the teachinglearning process, participation in school and the relationship with the educational community. According Saraiva & Rodrigues (2009) it is important to instill the promotion of physical activity in schools. Active commuting to school is a source of continuous moderate physical activity that young people have ignored (Tudor-Lock et al, 2002). The objective of this study focuses on the study of active transport to school for secondary school students and the socio-economic factors, encouraging them to use a bicycle as a means of transportation going to school and going home. The sample consisted of 150 students of both sexes, between 16 and 18 years of age that participated in physical education classes, in a secondary school in the city of Guimarães. Although 95.3% of the students know how to ride a bicycle and 71.3% agree that riding a bicycle would help the household save money, we found that 76.8% use the passive form to go to school.
