Estilo de vida, emoções, afetos e psicopatia em mulheres recluídas

Abstract

O presente estudo, pretende contribuir para a compreensão do afeto, das emoções experienciadas e estilo de vida associado à psicopatia feminina. Apesar dos inúmeros estudos realizados para a compreensão da psicopatia, existe uma lacuna na integração deste conceito com as dimensões afetivas e, mormente, escassez de estudos realizados com populações femininas. Para responder à questão de investigação, foi utilizada uma bateria de questionários. Participaram no estudo 63 mulheres recluídas num estabelecimento prisional da zona norte, sendo que apenas 9 apresentavam scores de moderadamente psicopatas. Os resultados comprovam que mulheres com scores mais elevados na psicopatia apresentam défices ao nível das competências emocionais positivas e que a psicopatia secundária nas mulheres está relacionada com uma dominância de afeto negativo. Será útil, futuramente, o desenvolvimento de instrumentos que permitam aferir/avaliar as emoções/afetos nos psicopatas.

This study aims to contribute to understand the relationship between of experienced emotions and lifestyle adopted by psychopath females. Despite numerous studies to understand psychopathy, there is a gap in the integration of this concept with the affective dimensions and, especially, lack of studies with female populations. To answer the research question, a battery of questionnaires was used. A group of 63 female prisoners were interviewed, but only 9 reached the cutoff scores of moderate psychopath in the Hare’s PCL-R Portuguese version. The results show that women that score higher on psychopathy have deficits in terms of positive emotional skills and the secondary psychopathy in women is related to negative affect of dominance. It will be useful in future the development of tools to assess/evaluate emotions in psychopaths.
