em que as decisões são tomadas, desde o momento da sinalização inicial;
e quantitativo, incluindo pesquisa documental, entrevista e observação.
This study aims to analyze the realities, practices and speeches about risk issues in schools in the county of Arouca. The project focuses on three main points: first, the diagnosis of the extent of the phenomenon of risk, involving children and youth in school context; second, the analysis of the strategies developed by schools in terms of intervention in this phenomenon, highlighting modes of interdependence between the several institutions involved, as well as modes of space-time organization in which decisions are made, since the time of the initial signaling; third, the project focuses the analysis of the speech of institutional actors about the phenomenon of children and youth risk, seeking to demonstrate how these actors assess their role in the long process of development of children and youth. The research methodology is based on combining qualitative and quantitative techniques, including desk research, interviews and observation. The project happening simultaneously with a traineeship developed in Comissão de Proteção de Crianças e Jovens de Arouca, also aims to follow an action-research line. This research allowed to realize how institutional actors deal with potential evidence of risk. In this sense, the main conclusions are centered on lack of knowledge of participants about risk events (especially domestic violence and bullying) and consequent adoption of a conformist attitude, focusing the referral of cases. This research allowed to realize how the institutional actors deal with potential evidence of risk. In this regard, the main findings point to the lack of participants about risk events (especially domestic violence and bullying) and consequent adoption of a conformist attitude, focusing the referral of cases. It concludes that the difficulties in intervention, the lack of material and human resources, as well as the lack of training, greatly influences the action of schools and the involved organizations on protection of children and youth. |
