Resumo(s): | O presente estudo ocorreu num centro hospitalar localizado em Portugal e teve como
objetivos: i) compreender o modo como a gestão da organização do tempo de trabalho por
turnos era localmente realizada e, ii) contribuir para a compreensão do processo de adaptação
ao trabalho por turnos por parte dos/as trabalhadores/as submetidos/as a este regime horário.
Nesse sentido, foram realizadas entrevistas a 8 chefias (Medicina e Urgência) e
aplicado um questionário junto de 110 trabalhadores/as (enfermeiros/as e assistentes
operacionais) dos referidos serviços.
Os resultados das entrevistas indicam a existência de um sistema informático como o
principal meio facilitador na gestão da organização do tempo de trabalho por turnos. Por outro
lado, a falta de pessoal é a dificuldade mais mencionada. Relativamente às estratégias
utilizadas pelos chefes de serviço, destaca-se o diálogo e o solicitar atempadamente aos
colaboradores as respetivas preferências. Os resultados dos questionários indicam que a
perceção de suporte organizacional relaciona-se positivamente com a satisfação com o horário
de trabalho e com a perceção de conciliação da vida fora da organização. Quando comparados
os três grupos considerando o tipo de turno que realizam com maior frequência (manhã, tarde,
noite) verifica-se que não existem diferenças significativas relativamente às variáveis em
análise. This study took place in a hospital located in Portugal and had as objectives: i) to understand how the management of the organization of working time shift was locally made and, ii) to contribute to the understanding of the adaptation process to the shift work on the part of the employees submitted to this time regime. Accordingly, interviews were conducted with 8 heads (Medicine and Emergency) and a questionnaire with 110 workers (nurses and the operational assistants) from the same services. The interview results indicate the existence of a computer system as the main means facilitator in managing the organization of working time per shift. Moreover, the lack of staff that is the most frequently mentioned difficulty. Regarding the strategies the heads of service use, there is dialogue and the timely request to the collaborators for their respective preferences. The questionnaire results indicate that the perception of organizational support relates positively with the satisfaction with the work schedule and with the perception of their lives outside the organization. When comparing the three groups considering the type of turns, more frequently performed (morning, afternoon, evening) it appears that there are no significant differences regarding the variables under consideration. |
