O sistema é acoplado a
The growing interest in injection molding and the demand for optimized manufacturing solutions that can improve the appearance and quality of the molded parts, led to the creation of the heating mold systems, by the industry, in order to achieve those improvements. This system allows to introduce a new injection parameter, the surface temperature (Ts), which brings advantages to the process. In this work was developed a heating system Rapid Heat Cycle Molding (RHCM), for application in conventional injection molding. The heating system selected was Infrared (IR), which is heating by infrared. This system requires the use of halogen lamps, which emit infrared radiation, thereby promoting heat when approached of the cavity surface. The system is coupled to a pneumatic robot that makes the approach movement of the lamps to the cavity surface, and promotes heating during a certain time until a desired temperature. After the system was developed, it was performed some experiences to test their effectiveness. After the test of the system, it was proceeded to the injection of parts. The selected material was Polypropylene (PP) with metallic pigments. The injection parameters selected for the study were, the second injection pressure, with the values of 40, 60 and 80 bar, and the surface temperature, with the values of 70 ° C, 90 ° C and 110 ° C. Finally the injected parts were characterized at the mechanical and morphological level, and was established a relation to the injection parameters studied. This characterization allowed to analyze the influence of RHCM system comparatively to the conventional method. |
