That means that Communication Sciences follow a tradition inspired by Nietzsche, Freud and Heidegger, which deny that knowledge can be objective and absolute and in correspondence with reality. The principle of historicity of being means that existence is an experience of limits or of human finitude. Communication Sciences adopt then the point of view that there is an unbreakable bond established between understanding and situation, interpretation and prejudice, knowledge and belief. theory and practice. Furthermore, Communication Sciences has its origin and destiny connected to Cultural Studies, a tradition of Social Sciences and Humanities that have converted in mass culture an elitist and essentialist understanding of culture. Communication Sciences give value to the subject, the consumption of media and screen cultures. In consequence, Communication Sciences go on to establish themselves in the actual and contemporanity to inhabit the present and everyday life.
