Para uma aborgadem institucionalista do voluntariado : o caso do voluntariado da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa

Abstract

This article discusses volunteer action from an Institutionalist perspective. According to this approach, volunteer action is carried out by certain institutions through the creation of socio-economic contexts that stimulate cooperation (which is the essence of volunteer action) and in the context of emerging realities (crisis moments). To focus on these assertions, we look at two examples - the case of the Portuguese volunteer sector and the case of the Red Cross.

este artículo discute la acción del voluntariado desde una perspectiva institucionalista. Desde esta perspectiva, el voluntariado se entiende como el resultado de ciertas instituciones, incluyendo la creación de contextos socioeconómicos que estimulan el don (que es la esencia de la acción voluntaria) y de los contextos emergentes (la crisis). Para explicar mejor estas afirmaciones, hemos recurrido a dos ejemplos - el caso del sector del voluntariado portugués y el caso de la Cruz Roja.

Cet article analyse l'action du volontariat à partir de la perspective institutionnaliste. Dans cette perspective, le volontariat est entendu comme le résultat de certaines institutions, y compris la création de contextes socioéconomiques qui stimulent le don (essence même de l'action volontaire) et des contextes émergeants (la crise). Pour mieux expliquer ces affirmations, nous avons pris deux exemples - le cas du secteur du volontariat portugais et le cas de la Croix-Rouge.
