No âmbito deste
ensino e aprendizagem do Português/Língua Portuguesa.
This paper is part of the Master’s degree in Pedagogical Supervision in the Teaching of Portuguese at the University of Minho. In this study, we seek to understand what is, from the perspective of teachers, the sense of curriculum changes operated in the process of teaching and learning of Portuguese / Portuguese Language, how they occur, why they occur in a certain way, with a particular configuration, that is, it matters, first, to understand the process of reconfiguration of these transformations and, secondly, to study the forms of appropriation of those changes by the actors of the teaching and learning process. Given the rapid social changes in a changing world, it is important to verify whether the language teaching has been conducive to these changes, to know the teachers’ position on the changes in the teaching of Portuguese and the implications of these transformations on the assumption of a particular paradigm of language teaching. Focusing then on the issues surrounding the teaching of a language, this study seeks, through the analysis of interviews with teachers in primary and secondary schools, to describe and identify the concepts of language and language teaching in our schools. To achieve the set objectives, we have established some analysis procedures that take into account some specific categories. The analysis of these categories has made it possible for us to identify the conceptions of language and language teaching and so to establish the dominant paradigm in the teaching and learning of Portuguese / Portuguese Language. The interviews with selected teachers have helped to establish conceptual patterns, organized according to the dimensions that reconfigure the teaching of language as a curricular subject, in order to understand some of the traits that characterize the views of teachers on language and language teaching in Portuguese schools. Thus, based on the analysis results of the interviews, we strongly believe that in the process of teaching and learning of Portuguese we can identify a mixture and / or aggregation of two paradigms: the paradigm of utility and the social-interactionist paradigm. |
